A Real Friend In Need was created from personal experiences and a genuine desire to help others. My husband and I often meet people in our community who struggle to afford basic home repairs or find themselves falling behind on financial responsibilities. Over time, word spread about my husband’s skill as a maintenance professional, and through referrals, we began assisting countless families and individuals facing these challenges.
Many of the people we meet live on limited incomes, making even small repairs feel impossible. We started by offering services well below cost — and often free of charge — simply because we couldn’t ignore their needs. What began as small acts of kindness soon became a calling, reminding us how meaningful it is to lend a helping hand to those who are doing their best with what they have.
We realized that compassion alone wasn’t enough; we needed a sustainable way to continue serving others. That realization gave birth to A Real Friend In Need — a community-driven organization built on love, service, and faith. Our mission is to restore hope, dignity, and stability for those in need through affordable repair assistance, resource connections, and genuine friendship.
